Gas Networks Ireland lends its support in Galway for buying local this Christmas

All this week people living in Galway are being encouraged to nominate their favourite shop or restaurant and support local businesses in the lead up to Christmas. 

Gas Networks Ireland has teamed up with the ‘Mollie in the Mornings’ show on Galway Bay FM, to give listeners a chance to win a €100 voucher to be used in a local shop or restaurant for putting a local business in the spotlight. 

Gas Networks Ireland Corporate Affairs Manager, Jamie Gallagher, said:

“We are happy to do our bit to remind everyone to shop local this Christmas. We have almost 8,000 homes and over 7,000 businesses in Galway connected to the gas network. It is important to us, now more than ever, to show our support.” 

According to Retail Excellence Ireland, every €10 spent locally is worth €40 in terms of supported employment and communities.  

The competition runs until Friday December 4th.
