Gas Networks Ireland welcomes Mayo student to 2018 Apprenticeship Scheme

Belmullet native, Kian Neary describes his motivation and delight on joining Gas Networks Ireland’s apprenticeship programme

Kian Neary from Belmullet, Co. Mayo, has been selected among the latest group of apprentices for Gas Networks Ireland. Kian, joins six other successful applicants from around Ireland, who have been selected for the four year programme, starting this week in Dublin.

One of the most sought after apprenticeships in Ireland, the Gas Networks Ireland programme provides mentor-led apprenticeships in Plumbing, Electrical Instrumentation and Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting. It is facilitated in partnership with SOLAS. On completion of the Apprenticeship Programme, the successful trainees will be awarded a Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft. This is recognised nationally and internationally as the requirement for craftsperson status.
