Decarbonisation by sector

A carbon neutral gas network will achieve at least 18.7Mt  per annum CO₂ emissions savings by 2050. This is 31% of Ireland's overall current emissions. This will be done by delivering emissions reductions across every sector of the economy.

Heat

Using the gas network provides a least cost and least disruption means to decarbonise almost half of Ireland's heating sector.
