Who we are and what we do

Gas Networks Ireland is a commercial semi-state company with responsibility for the delivery of gas infrastructure and services in Ireland. Read more about what we do.

The Board of Gas Networks Ireland currently consists of eight non-executive members who are appointed by the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage. They are:

Protected Disclosures

The mechanisms whereby Gas Networks Ireland’s employees and management may raise concerns, or make disclosures in the public interest, in accordance with the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 (as Amended), is outlined in the Gas Networks Ireland Protected Disclosures Policy which is available here Protected Disclosures Policy.

Section 22 of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 (as Amended) requires public bodies to publish an Annual Report relating to protected disclosures made under the Act.

In accordance with this requirement, Gas Networks Ireland confirms that in the year ended 31 December 2021, one protected disclosure was made. The matter was reported and investigated in accordance with Ervia’s Protected Disclosures Policy.

In accordance with this requirement, Gas Networks Ireland confirms that in the year ended 31 December 2020, there were no protected disclosures to report.

In accordance with this requirement, Gas Networks Ireland confirms that in the year ended 31 December 2019, there were no protected disclosures to report.

In accordance with this requirement, Gas Networks Ireland confirms that in the year ended 31 December 2018, there were two protected disclosures reported which are currently under investigation.

In accordance with this requirement, Gas Networks Ireland confirms that in the year ended 31 December 2017, there were no protected disclosures to report.
