Design Engineer Dx
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. The Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design and project planning, to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations.
Reporting to a Senior Design Engineer, the Design Engineer will have responsibility for the detailed design of CAPEX and OPEX projects, inclusive of new connections, across the gas Transmission and Distribution Network. The Design Engineer will manage all aspects of the design and review design risks associated with outsourced engineering service providers, ensuring a high-quality design service is delivered to the Business. The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively diagnose technical issues and have knowledge of gas related process design. The Design Engineer will work closely with the C&I Design Engineers, outsourced C&I partners and Technical Assurance function ensuring alignment of the Design Delivery process from end to end to meet overall project or programme timelines -

Construction Engineer - Leinster
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. The Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate thesethroughfrom detaileddesignandproject planning,toconstructiondelivery andhandover to Asset Operations.
Reporting to the Senior Project Delivery Engineer (NSWC / DX Pipelines), the Construction Engineer (NSWC / DX Pipelines) will be responsible for overseeing the construction delivery elements of specific NSWC and DX pipeline projects issued to Asset Delivery by the Portfolio Office. Acting as the primary point of contact for escalations at Gate 3 relating to such work within his/her region.
The Construction Engineer will act as a point of consultation for internal stakeholders across the Connections Coordination, Design Delivery and Project Services teams; to assist with the successful development and delivery of projects.
The Construction Engineer within Asset Delivery is responsible for overseeing the onsite execution of works. -

Materials Engineer
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, design and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. The Asset Delivery function brings together all of the technical and project support capabilities required to take projects and programmes from concept through detailed design, construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations.
Reporting to the Project Services Lead – Tx New Connections, the Materials Engineer will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Qualification Systems, Material Frameworks and material procurement activities across Design Delivery. The role will provide specialist materials expertise and act as a central point of coordination for supplier qualification, Third Party Inspections, material quality issues, long-lead material requirements and associated technical documentation.
The successful candidate will work closely with Design Delivery Engineers, Supply Chain, Asset Operations, Engineering Service Providers and suppliers to support the consistent application of material requirements, facilitate supplier engagement and qualification activities, and support continuous improvement across Design Delivery.
