Our focus is on achieving a Net Zero Carbon Network, with customers and affordability continuing as key priorities.

Our strategy 2025 - 2035
Our strategy has three key ambitions that define our business priorities, supported by two essential enablers. Our focus is on working every day to continue safeguarding Ireland’s energy supply by managing critical energy infrastructure safely and reliably, while also advancing the decarbonisation of our network by transporting increasing volumes of renewable gases and enabling innovative, affordable solutions for our customers.

Our core business remains the transmission and distribution of gas, managing critical energy infrastructure safely and reliably, 365 days a year. The organisation will support Ireland’s evolving energy needs and work to safeguard national energy security, which contributes to economic stability and growth. This includes operating the network safely to meet Ireland’s changing energy demands while also advancing the country's temporary strategic gas emergency reserve.

Published in 2024, Pathway to a Net Zero Carbon Network outlined how our €3 billion national asset can help Ireland reach its ambitious climate targets and reach net zero by 2050. Our strategy reaffirms our commitment to a Net Zero Carbon Network although our pathway will evolve and change as energy policy and new energy sources and technologies progress.
