Gas Networks Ireland supports large industrial and commercial customers who are seeking to connect to Ireland’s gas network, providing expert guidance and solutions for safe connections to both transmission and distribution gas network infrastructure nationwide.
Connecting to the network
Our transmission gas network generally supplies large scale customers such as power stations, data centres, and manufacturing and processing plants. The transmission gas network also receives gas injections from the main terminals and producers.
The distribution network caters for a wide range of sectors such as food production, healthcare, hospitality, waste and recycling, district heating, transport, pharmaceuticals and life sciences.

Gas Networks Ireland supports large businesses connecting to the gas distribution network. We will work closely with each customer to meet their specific requirements.
