Our company values – Safety, Integrity, Performance, Customer Service and Collaboration - reflect the characteristics of Gas Networks Ireland. They guide us in carrying out our activities on a day to day basis and govern how we interact with colleagues, customers, business partners and other stakeholders.
Our Accessibility Programme further integrates accessibility into all aspects of our business. This programme is led by representatives from key areas of our business including HR, Customer Care, Workflow, Service Delivery, Corporate Responsibility, Corporate Affairs, Facilities and Access Office.
The programmes vision is to deliver our information and services in line with the true meaning of our values, making them accessible for all and facilitating a place of work that is inclusive, accommodating and accessible. The programme provides staff and contractors with a better sense of awareness and improved communication skills when dealing with vulnerable people.
As a responsible employer, we are committed to providing the relevant supports for employees who acquire / develop a disability and we aim to educate all staff on the details of accessibility and disability to promote greater understanding and facilitate an accessible work environment.
As an organisation, we are committed to disability equality and meeting its obligations under the Disability Act 2005. This commitment is supported at the highest level in the organisation by the MD of Gas Networks Ireland and the Management Team. We have an established work programme to build on accessibility and to work towards best practice in all areas.
