Smarter Travel Workplace Programme

Gas Networks Ireland has developed a Smarter Travel Workplace Programme to promote sustainable travel among employees and visitors. The programme has been developed in partnership with the National Transport Authority and is managed by staff from key areas of our business including HR, Environment, Corporate Responsibility and Facilities. A number of initiatives have been developed by our Smarter Travel Team including a car-sharing facility, the establishment of Bicycle User Groups (BUGs), delivering Smarter Travel Event Days and related events promoting sustainable travel.

The Smarter Travel Programme at Gas Networks Ireland promotes and supports change in travel which results in many benefits and positive impacts our employees, for the company and for the environment.
