Thresholds

Certain activities carried out by Gas Networks Ireland require compliance with the European Union Utilities Procurement Directive – Directive 2014/25/EU. Gas Networks Ireland adopts different procurement approaches, depending on the monetary value of the contract.

Contracts Above Threshold Levels

Contract with a monetary value above the procurement threshold level specified by the Utilities Directive 2014/25/EU are advertised through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). Prospective suppliers and contractors are advised to regularly review the eTenders website to view future tender competitions.

Contracts Below Threshold Levels

For all other contracts below the threshold level, Gas Networks Ireland seeks competitive tenders/quotations from a minimum of three suppliers, unless otherwise stated in our procurement procedures.

18/032 - Fabricated Gas Filters

18/010 - GNI REMIT Reporting GNI is undertaking a competitive tender process to award a contract to meet the following requirements: To procure the services of a Registered Reporting Mechanism (RRM) to report REMIT data on behalf of Gas Networks Ireland. (The Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT) is an EU regulation designed to increase the transparency and stability of the European energy markets while combating insider trading and market manipulation)
