The Role

The Regulatory Affairs function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the delivery of Market Operations, Market Development, EU Energy Market Directives, as well as the strategy to deal with ongoing Regulatory compliance. The Regulatory Operations and Regulatory Framework departments are situated within the Regulatory Affairs function.

Reporting to the GasPoint Register (GPRO) and Supplier Ops Manager, the purpose of the role is to support the Manager in the management of the required systems and processes to deliver the GasPoint Register.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing and delivering the Change of Shipper Corrections and Amendments process, including engagement with Shippers/Suppliers and other GNI teams as required. 
  • Managing and delivering the Historic Consumption Request process to deliver Historic Consumption Reports to Shippers/end customers/third parties as required.
  • Supporting the maintenance of the GasPoint Register (GPR) to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensuring accurate recording of Priority and Vulnerable customer on the GPR.
  • Developing, documenting and delivering training programmes for shippers, training them on GNI systems and processes.
  • Supporting business process queries from Shippers re GPRO related GasMap messages
  • Communicating with Shippers, other GNI teams and CRU in connection with GPR information including the change of shipper/supplier process and associate information.
  • Providing historic information to shippers on Gas point consumption to facilitate the change of shippers process.
  • Facilitating the resolution of shippers queries in connection with GPRO processes
  • Providing reports on the operation of the retail market including of switching. customers, eligibility list to CRU, 
  • Documenting procedures/processes related to the GPRO 
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time.
