Gas Networks Ireland operates and maintains Ireland’s €3bn, 14,758km national gas network - one of the safest and most modern in the world. Trusted by over 700,000 homes and businesses, their network delivers over 30% of Ireland’s total energy, including 40% of heating and nearly 50% of electricity generation.
We are now seeking to appoint a Director of Customer & Business Development to play a pivotal role in shaping Ireland’s energy future.
This is a fantastic opportunity to operate at the forefront of the energy transition by leading the development of emerging biomethane and hydrogen markets while helping to transform one of the State’s most critical infrastructure assets into a fully decarbonised network.
As a key member of the Executive Team reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Director of Customer & Business Development will drive strategic growth, build high-impact partnerships, and position Gas Networks Ireland at the centre of Ireland’s evolving renewable energy landscape.
With responsibility spanning commercial strategy, strategic communications, customer engagement, and new market development, this role offers both scale and purpose, combining national impact with the opportunity to influence the energy transition to net carbon networks in the decades ahead.
