Kingscourt Brick
Kingscourt Brick, part of the Breedon Group, has a heritage of brickmaking spanning over 100 years. The company manufactures a range of clay facing bricks to meet their customers' needs. As part of an ambitious pilot project, Kingscourt Brick is using biomethane, a renewable gas, to produce a new innovative low-carbon product called the BioBrick.
Decarbonising Irish manufacturing
Decarbonising high-heat industries remains a complex challenge in Ireland’s energy landscape. Manufacturing companies that rely on extremely high temperatures - such as brick production - need solutions that can lower emissions without impacting product quality, reliability or production capacity.
Biomethane, can be delivered through the existing gas network and used with no changes required to equipment or operations. This makes it a powerful and practical option for customers that cannot efficiently electrify their thermal processes.
