Materials Engineer
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end to end planning, design and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. The Asset Delivery function brings together all of the technical and project support capabilities required to take projects and programmes from concept through detailed design, construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations.
Reporting to the Project Services Lead – Tx New Connections, the Materials Engineer will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Qualification Systems, Material Frameworks and material procurement activities across Design Delivery. The role will provide specialist materials expertise and act as a central point of coordination for supplier qualification, Third Party Inspections, material quality issues, long-lead material requirements and associated technical documentation.
The successful candidate will work closely with Design Delivery Engineers, Supply Chain, Asset Operations, Engineering Service Providers and suppliers to support the consistent application of material requirements, facilitate supplier engagement and qualification activities, and support continuous improvement across Design Delivery. -

Customer Relationship Manager
The Regulatory Affairs function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the delivery of Market Operations, Market Development, EU Energy Market Directives, as well as the strategy to deal with ongoing Regulatory compliance. The Shipper Services team, within the Regulatory Operations Department, plays a vital role for GNI by managing key wholesale and retail market processes and providing solutions to a very broad range of day-to-day operational issues raised by GNI’s major customers, the gas supply and gas shipping companies. In managing these processes and responding to these issues the team interacts with multiple internal and external stakeholders which requires an understanding of key GNI wholesale and retail systems and processes. The team also carries out a number of important additional functions including managing the introduction of new gas shipping and supply companies into the gas market. Reporting to the Shipper Services Manager, this challenging role will provide an excellent opportunity to gain a good understanding of the operational aspects of the Irish gas market. The main purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day operational relationship with a number of shippers. The successful applicant will also have responsibility for a number of critical business processes and provide support for the processing of financial security transactions.

Senior Network Planning Engineer
Reporting to the Network Planning Manager, the Senior Network Planning Engineer will manage a team and review proposals regarding how the network will be developed to meet the forecast growth in gas demand, and to accommodate new sources of supply. The Senior Network Planning Engineer will support the business in its decision making and also produce and present annual publications to both internal and external stakeholders.
