The Role:
Reporting to the Hydrogen Commercial Manager, the Programme Analyst will coordinate collaborative projects both with external stakeholders and internal departments and will assist in the development of business plans and assessments and support the development of the Hydrogen Programme in Gas Networks Ireland
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Hydrogen Programme Delivery:
o Support the Hydrogen Commercial Manager in the management and development of the Hydrogen Programme in Gas Networks Ireland.
o Support internal departments on developments of the hydrogen programme with potential commercial application for the business.
o Coordinate the administration and/or appraisal of service contracts to enable the hydrogen programme.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
o Engage with various external stakeholder groups such as technology centres, research institutes, academic organisations, state bodies, and commercial developers in the identification and development of Hydrogen market trends and potential projects that may assist the GNI hydrogen programme.
o Represent GNI interests on various national and European industry forums and stakeholder engagements on Hydrogen and industry meetings.
o Drive the promotion of hydrogen and the development and implementation of a communications plan to drive awareness internally and externally.
• Funding and Business Cases:
o Coordination and assistance in the development of business plans and commercial development proposals.
o Assist in the delivery of projects with external stakeholders and internal departments to ensure deliverables are achieved and outputs are disseminated as appropriate
o Support the hydrogen team in tracking and managing the hydrogen financial budgets.
o Support the development of projects and applications for external funding support under National or EU funding schemes.
o Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent related discipline with minimum 3 years’ experience, relevant to the role.
• Good knowledge, understanding and experience of the Energy Industry and Markets.
• Experience in research and project collaborations is an advantage.
• Experience in commercial environments such as New Product or Service Development is an advantage.
• Highly numerate, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good attention to detail.
• Proven ability to create and develop good working relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals, coupled with the ability to gain commitment from others.
• Proactively identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job.
• Ability to set own high standards of performance and delivering desired results.
